What is Day of Yoga?

Celebrating International Yoga Month

Day of Yoga is always held the last weekend of September and is a celebration that wraps up International Yoga Month. We bring together the community of yoga teachers, healers, wellness practitioners and mobile service providers that share the vision of raising funds and awareness to provide accessible yoga and wellness services to our under-represented, low income, minority, and disadvantaged disabled communities. 

A Way to Make a Difference and Impact Lives

Day of Yoga is the first yoga festival in New Orleans ever created by locals for locals to make an impact in their community and the world. It started humbly at City Park in 2018 by Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation founder Christina Andrini, and was a huge success. Making yoga accessible to the community so everyone can have the chance to make a difference and impact lives by just $5 to attend or any amount participants wish to give to touch a life in need of restoration.  Vendors and creatives pay a small contribution for a space and contribute 10% of their revenue to Day of Yoga to share in the same mission of changing lives.  Click here to donate/ be a vendor/ or register.

How Will You Be Apart of Day of Yoga?

YOU are the most important part. We need loving individuals to volunteer, (it takes a village), sponsors, vendors, and participants. Jai Bhakti Yoga Foundation hosts this event because of the belief they have in the community that stops at nothing to come together to make an impact for each other and the city they love. Yoga not only improves your body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. Take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity. Some discover a spiritual path or Bhakti practice, while others explore the chakra system through Reiki and other energy moving practices.
